MICHELLE CULLINAN, PMHNP
Michelle Cullinan provides the patients of Treasure Valley Psychology with medication management. She is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and has 8 years of nursing experience in the psychiatric field ranging from child and adult inpatient care to community mental health crisis stabilization and substance abuse treatment. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Boise State University and immediately started working as a psychiatric nurse in an inpatient hospital. While attending Graduate School through the University of South Alabama, she was the Nurse Manager in a community mental health crisis stabilization and substance abuse treatment center.
Her focus is on the treatment of mood disorders, trauma, psychotic disorders, substance abuse and chronic mental illness through psychiatric assessment, medication management and brief psychotherapeutic intervention for adult clients ages 18-65. She believes in creating an individualized plan of care that values client involvement, inter-professional collaboration and evidenced-based practice. Her goal for her clients is to feel empowered to treat their illness through supportive education in a stigma free environment.
A client can expect their initial visit to include a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, determination of treatment goals and education about diagnosis and available treatment options. Michelle has the pleasure of working alongside many skilled and experienced clinicians and is happy to collaborate and coordinate care with them when appropriate to the clients’ needs.
