HEATHER HOYT, PHD
Dr. Heather Hoyt is a licensed psychologist, with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. She has numerous years of experience and training which enables her to work directly with children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and groups.
She provides a safe, supportive, judgment-free environment which promotes understanding, healing, and change. Her belief is that the relationship between client and therapist is the foundation for therapeutic success. Dr. Hoyt honors the unique nature of every case and customizes treatment techniques to fit each specific individual’s needs. She enjoys collaborating with clients to identify and meet their personal treatment goals through creating a therapeutic alliance. Using evidenced based practice, she strives to help clients with easing their suffering and improving their overall lives. Her treatment experience ranges from helping clients deal with severe mental health issues to working with people who seek to improve their everyday lives.
Dr. Hoyt earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Carpinteria, California. Her graduate degrees include an emphasis in Depth Psychology. She completed her clinical training in the Chicago area at Allendale Association’s Bradley Counseling Center, where she gained extensive clinical experience working with a variety of people of different ages, backgrounds, cultures, and life experiences.
